PIS.A.R.T.E. Workshop on Drawing Up Standard Operating Procedures

Within the framework of the foreseen activities of the PIS.A.R.T.E. project, from 30th September to 2nd October 2010 took place a Workshop on Drawing Up Standard Operating Procedures.
The objectives of the Workshop were:
­- to present and consolidate the 2nd Draft of the PIS.A.R.T.E. SOP Manual
­- to collect comments and suggestions useful for the 3rd and Final Version of the PIS.A.R.T.E. SOP Manual.
The experts involved, both coming from Italy and other EU countries, were belonging to various sectors medical and technical (Field hospitals, Advanced Medical Post, Italian Red Cross, Fire Departments, Italian Civil Protection Department, etc) and there was also the participation of a representative of the European Commission.
The final product of the Workshop and of the Project will be the delivery of the PIS.A.R.T.E. SOP Manual, an operative tool of intervention in case of major emergencies inside or outside the European Union. This document represents a proposal of standardization that will be evaluated from the European Commission as an intervention tool model.
